UPDATE - Payeezy API Security Protocol Update Postponed.
We have heard from our customers in regards to discontinuing support for TLS1.0 and TLS1.1 protocols and have postponed the deprecation timeframes for the PROD and CERT environments for these protocols. The changes made to the CERT (Sandbox) environment have been reverted back and we will continue to support TLS1.0 and TLS1.1 protocols. We will also continue to work with our security teams to comply with the PCI mandates.
Just over 1 year ago, we made the statement in our inaugural blog “never before has the timing been so right to bring together everyone in the payments ecosystem and open a world of possibilities.” The introduction of network-level tokenization ushered in an era of innovation not just with the industry, but for us as well with our Payeezy developer portal and a vision to expose the depth and breadth of all we have to offer from an eCommerce perspective.
Payeezy has now been included in the Active Merchant library. Ruby developers now have two gems to choose from when integrating to our APIs – the ‘Payeezy’ ruby gem and the ‘ActiveMerchant’ ruby gem. These ruby gems significantly decrease the development time required to integrate applications with Payeezy API.

October 2015 is turning out to be quite an eventful month for us in the Payeezy world. It’s been just over 1 year since we launched our new APIs and supporting developer portal, initially in support of Apple Pay® mobile payments solution. And over the course of this year, we’ve added a number of capabilities catering to many merchants, small and large alike, who are looking to start or expand their eCommerce business. Thank you to the hundreds of partners who have contributed to that success!
We have a new friend – Pivotal Software and you are going to like the things that will happen as a result of this friendship. Pivotal software announced their partnership with us at the Spring One conference held in Washington, DC on September 14. Pivotal software is the company behind popular products such as the “Spring framework” which is an application framework for Java and “Pivotal Cloud Foundry” which is a platform as a service. Hundreds of Pivotal customers and millions of spring developers use these products.
While Payeezy may have joined the party a little late, we are here now and making it count. First Data and specifically Payeezy have been named a finalist in the 2015 Digital Accelerator Awards in the (drum roll please) “Best Developer Experience” category. And we really are only just getting started.
