On May 28 2015, Google announced at their annual developers’ conference that Android Pay, the new “Android way to pay,” will be launched in the U.S. later this summer. We at First Data understand the importance of mobile payments and have been actively working with Google  to support Android Pay when it launches and will be ready to power your apps with android pay.

Android Pay  enables merchants to accept purchases initiated from  Android devices. Consumers can securely store payment and shipping information in their Google Wallet and can make payments for the purchases made through their favorite apps. (More information here)

First Data views Android Pay as an exciting enhancement to mobile payments. In addition to ensuring platform readiness and compliance with card network requirements, First Data is delivering its industry-leading tokenization service, TransArmor, which replaces raw credit card data and prevents direct exposure of sensitive details boosting security.

With the volume of mobile payments expected to grow in the coming years, Android Pay presents an opportunity for merchants to create a frictionless and smooth shopping experience for their mobile consumers. As always, Payeezy team is committed to providing you with all of the tools required to help you achieve your goal of building web and mobile payments apps.
