Gateway message: "Payment Type Not Supported by Merchant"

I'm trying to process eCheck transactions with Telecheck but when my merchant (I am the developer) tests these payments with the live API information they are getting this message in the response ,"gateway_message":"Payment Type Not Supported by Merchant". The payments were working for me in the test environment. As far as I know the merchant had their account set up to accept Telecheck payments, are there any additional steps they or I need to do to set it up?

There are no additional steps. If you continue to face issues, please reach out to your merchant service provider to resolve the issue.
