Save and verify card data for later selection at checkout.

I want to have a feature where users saves their card for later selection at checkout. I want to be able to tokenize the card PAN and also verify that card data is valid before saving the card. When I use the GET Create Tokenize method with auth set to false the documentation states the security code is not validated when auth is false. What are the steps to tokenize the card and verify all card data is valid before the card is actually used? I want to have 2 options at checkout. Pay with existing saved card or pay without a saved card. If there is no solution to this I will just not have a save card feature.

Hi Harley,

1. One way to do it is with auth=true. When auth=true, a $0 auth is performed on the card which includes a CVV check. However, the result of the CVV check is not included in the response of the tokenize call. There are CVV filters that you can set in payeezy gateway where you can specify whether or not a tokenize call should be declined or not.

2. The other way is to just get a token using auth=false and store the token. Then when the customer uses his saved card information, first do a token based authorization which will include both CVV and AVS checks. Then do a capture transaction.
