Tokenize Credit Cards

After I created tokens using "https://api-cert.payeezy.com/v1/securitytokens" I found I could use this token to submit payments to two different merchants. I'm wondering is the token binding to a merchant or it could be shared, can I use the same token if I would host a lot of merchants under my account.

Thanks!

Re: Tokenize Credit Cards

Hi Bowen,

Transarmor tokens are restricted to a merchant account. So, you can use a token across MIDs as long as all the MIDs fall under the same merchant account (or Corp Chain).

Thanks for the reply! So I can use them for all merchants under "Merchants" page?, even though they have different Merchant ID, Token, and JS Security Key?

No, unless the different MIDs belong to the same corp chain.

Internally in our systems, Merchant IDs that belong to the same company are grouped together under something we call a corp chain. So each Corp Chain can have several MIDs (a.k.a outlets or terminals). A token can be shared between MIDs only if they fall under the same corp chain. If 2 MIDs don't fall under the same corp chain, then they cannot share the tokens. The corp chain information can be obtained from https://globalgatewaye4.firstdata.com and your merchants can provide that.
